How to enable a remote support mode
When remote support mode is enabled the Agent connects to our support server and allows us to remotely execute commands in a very secure manner. After we finish the remote support session we always disable remote support mode but you are able to disable it and check the status. Below you will find instructions how to activate it.
At Asterisk server
Activate remote support
To activate the remote support mode type the following command on your server's console:
odoopbx support on
This command will print out your Agent ID that you should tell us in mail or chat. It is secure to pas the Agent ID as nobody except our support team is able to use it.
Next restart the agent to allow us to do the support work:
odoopbx restart agent
Deactivate remote support
To deactivate the remote support mode type the following command on your server's console:
odoopbx support off
Next restart the Agent:
odoopbx restart agent
Check the status of remote support
Type on the server console:
odoopbx support status
You will see the current status of remote support mode.
At Odoo server
As we do not run the Agent on Odoo server there is a special remote support only mode.
Start a support session
Type:
odoopbx support start
Now the Agent is running in support mode. Tell our support team the ID that is printed out.
Stop a support session
Hit CTRL+C to stop the Agent. The support session will be terminated.
